Newton, Iowa

Warren W. Clark, 93 of Newton, died Friday, March 2, 2018. Per his wishes, there will be no funeral services but memorials may be left to Iowa River Hospice or Newton Health Care of Newton. His ashes will be buried at the Dunreath Cemetery Marion County, IA at a later date. The son of John Thaddeus. and Sara Ruth (Coe) Clark, Warren was born on August 3, 1924 in Dunreath, Iowa. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1941. On October 8, 1983, he was united in marriage to Winona J. Tool at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Warren retired from Maytag in 1986.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Winona; his son, John (Kari) Clark of Olathe KS; stepdaughters Wyvonne (Greg) Bell of Newton, Shelly (Randy) Salasberry of Newton; step daughter-in-law, Loretta Tool of Newton; 8 grandchildren, Logan, Teller, Andy, Priya, Holly, Joel, Skyler, Amy and Jared; 5 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters; Bart (Setsuko) Clark of Newton, Wanda (Dwight) Deitrick of Illinois, Betty (Elvyn) Ver Dought of Missouri, Violet (Francis) Neff of Monroe, and Shirley Hummel of Newton; sisters-in-laws, Liz Clark of Fridley, MN and Faye Clark of Pella, IA as well as many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; stepson, Craig Tool; 2 brothers, Seth Clark and Keith Clark; five sisters, Gayle Goemaat, Doris Clark, Mary Clark, Vernie Wooldridge, and Ila Oldham.
