James McMillian Connell III, 42, of Newton died on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2018, at Grace Church. The family will greet friends from 2 p.m. until the time of service.

Memorials to James’ family may be left at the church. The Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the service.

James, the son of James McMillian Connell II and Toni Abel, was born on March 27, 1975 in Davenport. He moved to Newton at the age of 5. James enjoyed model cars, video games, movies, and music.

James is survived by his parents, Toni (Mark) Cupples of Newton; grandmother, Mary Abel of Newton; siblings, Billy (Francesca) Cupples, Joseph (Courtney) Cupples, and Trinity Cupples, all of Newton; his nieces and nephews, Cameron, Corbin, Stella, Jensen, and Tristen; and his aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gene and Joan Cupples and Alfred Abel. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 17 Feb 2018.
