Sidney Weston, 80 Retired Merchant, Dies at Ira Home
Ira (Special) – Sidney W. Weston, 80-year-old retired merchant, died at his home here Wednesday after a lingering illness.
Mr. Weston operated a grocery store here from 1915 to 1948 and then retired. Born Aug. 11, 1872, at Ira, he spent his entire lifetime in the community. He married Katie Mae Trusler Oct. 19, 1910.
Survivors include his wife and two brothers, Carl and Ray Weston, both of Mingo. Two brothers and his parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Christian church in Ira. Burial will be in the Union Chapel cemetery. The Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home of Baxter is in charge of arrangements.
