Mrs. Jane Williams, who for many years was a resident of Monroe, after a long illness, died at Des Moines, where she had been living for some time, and the body was brought back to Monroe for burial.

The funeral was held yesterday at 2 p.m. from the home of her brother, T. M. Taylor.

Mrs. Taylor was an aunt of Miss Rose Taylor, who for a number of years taught in one of the second grades of our school. During her sickness, which covered a number of years, Rose has been her nurse.

Mrs. Williams leaves a stepson at Des Moines and she was the sister of John Taylor, of East Plum Street, and an aunt of C. M. Taylor, also of this city.

Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor, C. M. Taylor and wife, and Miss Jennie Taylor attended the funeral.

Interment was in the Monroe Cemetery. ~ The Newton Daily News, Saturday, May 12, 1906, Page 1, Column 6
