Jane Ellen Hopkins, age 74 of Marshalltown, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Iowa River Hospice in Marshalltown. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. There will be no other services held. Burial will take place at Colfax Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family and condolences may be left at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

The daughter of Paul G. and Laura (Day) Nell, Jane was born on September 2, 1943, in Missouri. On July 3, 1971, she was united in marriage to Ronald J. Hopkins. Jane enjoyed cooking and baking. Those left to honor her memory include her three children, Leroy Nell, Will Hopkins, and Kimberly Hopkins; two grandchildren and two brothers, James Nell and Tony Nell.

Preceding Jane in death were her parents, husband, two sisters, Nelpha Owens and Mary Sliger and three brothers, Paul Kenneth Nell, John Nell, and Joseph Nell. ~ The Coburn Funeral Home, Sat 20 Jan 2018.
