CHARLES M. BAKER, aged 48 years, 1 month and 21 days.

Deceased was born in Licking county, Ohio, August 26th, 1832, moved to this county about the year 1857, where he has since resided. He is well known to many people in Jasper county, and has always been a kind and generous neighbor to those living around him, and has by his industry, economy and temperate habits left his family in comfortable circumstances; yet his most precious legacy to them is his good name. He leaves a wife and five children and a circle of friends and relatives to mourn his loss.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. G. Thorn, of Newton, at the residence of the deceased, on Monday April 18th. A large number of friends and relatives contributed their last respects to the deceased by following his remains to the cemetery.

We will miss him at the fireside;
We will miss him from his chair;
We will miss him at the table;
We will miss him everywhere.
