Lost Their Baby Boy
Little Harry Ammons, infant son of Dr. and Mrs. W. H. Austin, died very suddenly last Sunday morning, February 11th. He was just seven months old. From his birth he had been very delicate and frail, but his parents had hoped that time would bring a change for the better. Sunday morning, they awoke about four o’clock, and noticing that he was breathing strangely, took the little one up, but he died in a few minutes afterward. It was a great shock to Mr. and Mrs. Austin, as their hearts affection was peculiarly centered in their baby boy intensified probably on account of his affliction. The funeral was held at the home, corner of Spring and Marion Streets on Tuesday at 2 o’clock p. m., conducted by Rev. B. C. Baumgardner and Rev. A. S. Loveall. The parent have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their sad bereavement. ~ The Newton Record Thursday, February 15, 1900
