Henrietta Hollensteiner Krampe was born November 7, 1831, in Dieppe, Detwold, Germany, and died January 2, 1906, at the age of 74 years, 1 month and 25 days. In was in the year 1854 that she left the fatherland and came to America. She resided in Wisconsin until two years after, when she married Cord Krampe and they came to Jasper County, where they have since made their home. Ten children were born to them. Five of these children, one daughter and four sons, proceeded to the world beyond. Those still living are Mesdames Fred Ruhlman, Howard Harris, and T. Elicker and Lydia and Walter, who resided with their parent at the old home. Mrs. Krampe leaves besides the husband and these children, eight grandchildren and one brother, S. Hollensteiner, of Kiel, Wis., who arrived in tome to attend the funeral of his sister, which was held at the Reform German Church north of this city last Friday morning. ~ The Newton Daily News, Wednesday, January 10, 1906, Page 1, Column 2
