Connie Faye Michel, 50, of Newton, formerly of Ottumwa, died on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be held at a later date.

Connie, the daughter of Gerald and Bertha (Fitzgerald) Roberts, was born on September 12, 1967 in Ottumwa. She lived most of her life in Ottumwa before moving to Newton four years ago. Connie enjoyed getting her nails done, doing puzzles, animals, and spending time with her family. She was also a great cook and was known for her homemade beef and noodles.

Connie is survived by her children, Anita Michel of Clearwater, Florida, Anthony Michel of Waterloo, Margaret Widger of Ottumwa, Cynthia Henry of Athens, Tennessee, and Theresa Milstead of Ottumwa; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Alan (Vickie) Price of Grapevine, Texas, Paul Price of Oskaloosa, and Gene (Tami) Roberts of Oskaloosa; her nieces and nephews; significant other, Chuck Drake of Newton; and her best friend, Lisa Anderson and her family of Ottumwa. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa Sat 11 Nov 2017.
