Margery Ann Duncan, 80, died at her home at Woodlands Creek Retirement Community in Clive, Iowa, on Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 24 at West Des Moines United Methodist Church. Graveside services were held at Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Margery was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 28, 1934, to the late Randall and Lenora (Elscott) Duncan. She grew up in Monroe, Iowa, where she graduated from high school. She then attended Drake University to complete a business degree in 1956. Margery worked at Drake University for over twenty years retiring in 2001. Following retirement she worked part time at the Des Moines Civic Center. She was a member and an active volunteer at West Des Moines United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing Bridge and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her four children, Caryl Christie of West Des Moines, Craig (Amy) Sengbusch of Ames and Scott and Randy Sengbusch of Des Moines; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
