BENJAMIN, QUICK, SELLERS

Military services were held for Harold Quick at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery at Van Meter, last Wednesday, April 24, 2013. In addition to those from the military, other family members attending the services were his nephew and nieces from Colorado: Don Benjamin, Sharon Benjamin, her daughter, Pam and cousins, Duane and Wilma Sellers from Monroe. The military flag was presented to Wilma Sellers, his only living cousin at the request of his nephew, Don Benjamin.
Harold served in the Army Air Force during World War II and was awarded 6 bronze stars, the Good Conduct Medal and other citations. Following his discharge from service, Harold worked as a commercial artist for the Des Moines Register and Tribune for 33 years before retiring. After his retirement, he helped Orian Woods at the Prairie City News in Prairie City. Harold has been a silent helper in a lot of lives and is greatly missed by his family
