Roy Snyder passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on November 1, 2010, after a long battle with cancer.
A Celebration of Life Pot Luck to be held on November 20, 2010, at the Pleasant Hill Youth Shelter located in Doanes Park from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Roy A. Snyder Memorial Fund to the Snyder’s home at 8569 W. 133rd St. South, Prairie City, IA 50228. Memorial funds will be divided among three different organizations: R & K Angels (the family’s non-profit organization helping families who have children undergoing cancer treatment with non-medical needs), Hospice of Central Iowa and scholarship programs in honor of two of Roy’s most valuable Doctors. Please specify which one of the three funds you would like your donation to be used toward.
