Mrs. Albert Krampe Died December 15th
Mrs. Albert (Mary) Krampe, 74, a lifelong resident of the Baxter community, died Wednesday evening, December 15, at the Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 Saturday morning, December 18, at the Bethany United Church of Christ east of Baxter.
The Rev. Harold Behle, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in the Bethany Cemetery.
Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home in Baxter handled arrangements.
Survivors are her husband, Albert; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Coleen) Hill of Baxter and Mrs. Clifford (Darlene) Schwarz of Baxter; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. H. J. (Victoria) Yetley of Ottumwa and Mrs. Gene (Dora) Hamilton of Fairfield; and a brother, Dr. Benjamin Sinkler of New Sharon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Krampe, who had taught school until her marriage, was a member of the Bethany United Church of Christ and the EverReady Club.
The daughter of Henry and Louise Baker Sinkler, she was born February 28, 1902, on a farm near Baxter, was educated in Baxter schools, and was graduated from Baxter Community High School and attended the University of Northern Iowa at Cedar Falls.
She was married September 11, 1929, in the Bethany Church parsonage.
