Mrs. John N. Jones Died Dec. 5
Mrs. John N. (Edith) Jones, 87, rural Colfax, died at Des Moines General Hospital in Des Moines Saturday, Dec. 5, 1970.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Boyd-Nickell Funeral home in Baxter.
The Rev. T. A. Thompson, pastor of the Congregational United Church of Christ at Baxter conducted the services. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery at Collins.
Survivors are her husband; a son, John F. of Newton; four daughters, Mrs. William (Lela) Dodd of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Herbert (Minnie) Poole of Baxter, Mrs. Joe (Blanche) Seltis of Tacoma, Wash., and Kathleen Jones of Seattle, Wash.; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. James (Bessie) Kimberley of Baxter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Wanda, three brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Jones was an honorary member of the Happy Hour Club of Baxter.
The daughter of Harrison W. and Minerva Barbee Perry, she was born Aug. 4, 1883, near Rhodes.
She was married June 14, 1904 in Newton.
