Dorr Lane Died In Hospital Tuesday Night
Dorr Victor Lane, 56, died late Tuesday night, Oct. 14th, 1958 in the Skiff Hospital in Newton, where he had been admitted last Wednesday. Mr. Lane had been in ill health several weeks.
He was born April 18, 1902 at Madrid, Iowa, and has made Colfax his home the past 9 years. Mr. Lane was employed at the Maytag Co. He was united in marriage to Florence Beals Norris at Newton, Ia. June 30, 1949, and was a member of the Methodist Church.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife, mother, Mrs. Florence Lane of Boone, two daughters, Dorothy Inman and Darlene Harrington, of Boone and 3 step-children, Marjorie Barden of Burbank, Cal.; Erma Remington of El Segundo, Cal., and Max Norris of Downey, Calif. Two sisters, Mrs. Grace Brobst of Graettinger, Ia., and Mrs. John Hubby of Boone, two brothers, Roy and Clifford of Boone and 6 grandchildren also survive, plus a host of friends.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Methodist Church in Colfax Saturday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. E. H. Jackson, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Union Chapel cemetery.
