1938 - 2017

Barbara Ann Peil went home to be with her Savior on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Nelson Manor in Newton, under the care of Mercy Hospice. She was 78 years old.

Barbara was born December 12, 1938, in Joliet, Illinois, the daughter of George Lawrence and Ann Margaret (Jonish) Stewart. She graduated from Odell High School, in Illinois.

On November 27, 1959, Barb was united in marriage to Glen Eugene Peil in Council Bluffs. Barb was a homemaker all her life and will be greatly missed. She was an excellent cook and loved to read. She was a woman who served God through many years of hosting and supporting missionaries, Bible studies, and serving at VBS and in many church offices and kitchens during her time on earth. She always prayed for her family.

Barb is survived by her husband of 57 years, Glen Eugene Peil of Kellogg; daughters: Rochel (Joe) Isabelli of Shorewood, IL and Rebecca (Joe) DeHart of Kellogg; her six grandchildren: Lisa (Bruce) Dell, Kyle (Maria) Isabelli, David DeHart, Paul DeHart, Ryan Rosenquist and Reese Rosenquist; three great-grandchildren: Nora and Max Isabelli and Abby Dell; numerous nieces and nephews; and many good neighbors and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a beloved great-granddaughter Zoey Dell; and a brother and sister-in-law: George and Gloria Stewart Jr. ~ The Pence Reese Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 6 June 2017.
