Kelli Ann Cassady Kanne, 45, of rural Baxter, died of congestive heart failure Sunday, April 21, at her home.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Pence Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. Al Sandlin of the Grinnell Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Baxter.
Friends may call from 9 until 10:30 a.m. prior to the service Friday at the funeral home where the family will be available. Memorials will be accepted in her name.
The daughter of Eldon Howard and Maxine Deloris (Hodges) Cassady, she was born April 3, 1957, in Newton. She attended Newton Senior High School. On July 4, 1982, she married Adelbert Kanne in Las Vegas, Nev. She was a homemaker and self-employed in real estate. Mrs. Kanne was a volunteer for The Salvation Army and Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include her husband; two step-sons and a daughter-in-law, Daryl and Stephanie Kanne of Des Moines and Alan Kanne of Oregon; a daughter and son-in-law, Kursha and Matt Bennett of Baxter; a step-daughter, Denise Kanne of Chicago, Ill.; three grandchildren; and four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Vicki and Art Wells of St. Anthony, Linda and Larry Wolbert of Youngsville, Penn.; Debbie Kartchner and Teresa and Will Warner, all of Newton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers-in-law.
