Life Story of Lloyd Thomasson
Lloyd Leslie Thomasson, 54, a longtime resident of Jasper County, died Sunday in Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
Funeral services were held in the Baptist Church in Monroe Tuesday with the Rev. Wayne Anderson conducting the services. Burial was in the Monroe cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Catherine; a son, Lloyd, Jr., of Prairie City; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Marilyn) Smith of Centerville and Mrs. Melvin (Kay) Van Wyk of Monroe, and five grandchildren.
The son of John Guyven and Doris Marguerita Aubert Thomasson, he was born October 8, 1913 in Spring Hill.
He was married to Catherine Cooper, Aug. 30, 1937, in Newton.
Mr. Thomasson farmed until 14 years ago when he became an employe of the Winpower Manufacturing Company in Newton.
