Duer Rites Held This Afternoon
Funeral services for Mrs. Harriett (Benedict) Duer, 84, were held this afternoon at Johnson funeral home with the Rev. Ralph E. Eckard of First Lutheran Church officiating.
Mrs. Duer, Newton resident since 1900, died at Skiff hospital Friday morning.
Pallbearers were Harold Russell, E. A. McMurray, Fred Meredith, Homer Denniston, C. J. Thielman and Delmer Bonner. Mrs. Billie Joy, Mrs. Lucille Bates and Mrs. C. J. Thielman were in charge of flowers.
Organist was Mrs. R. L. Jackson and Miss Ruth Jackson was soloist. Burial was in Newton Union Cemetery.
