Larry D. Clippinger, age 86, of Altoona, passed away on March 23, 2017 at his daughter's residence in, Missoula, MT. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. There will be a time for sharing at 1:45 p.m. Burial will take place at Waveland Cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

He was the son of Floyd and Florence Clippinger, born September 30, 1930 in Colfax, Iowa. Larry was a Military Veteran and a member of the Telephone Workers Union of Iowa. He worked in the Telecommunications Industry for forty plus years. He had a great love of all animals both wild and tame; from hunting to raising wildlife, hiking and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Sandra L. Clippinger (Beaver), in December of 2008, and his brother Robert Clippinger.

Leaving his family members: Daughter, Pam (Lindell) Ramsey of Sullivan, MO. Son, Scott (Cheri Carr) Clippinger of Madison, WI, and Daughter, Cindy Clippinger of Missoula, MT.
