RITES HELD FOR MRS. STOVER

Glenne Stover, 91, of Rte. 2, Kellogg, died Saturday, Feb. 4, at Friendship Manor.

Funeral services for Mrs. Stover were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Hickory Grove Church, with the Rev. Morris Hay officiating. Music was by Raymond Brown, organist; Margaret Hay, pianist; and Evelyn Osborn, vocalist.

Pallbearers were Daryl Beck, Richard Beck, David Cooper, Larry Cooper, Kevin Smith and Terry Smith. Burial was in the Hickory Grove Cemetery, with the Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Memorials in Mrs. Stover's name may be made to the Hickory Grove Church.

The daughter of W.E. and Jennie Bridges Smith, she was born on April 23, 1892, in Hickory Grove Township, Jasper County. She attended rural school and later graduated from Grinnell High School in 1909. Following her education, she taught rural school.

On June 20, 1917, she was married to Clyde C. Stover at Newburg. The couple farmed in the Newburg area, spending their winters in Breckenridge, Texas. While living in Breckenridge, Mrs. Stover worked at a local hospital as a nurse's aide. She was a member of the Hickory Grove Church and was active in the church's Ladies Aid and Sunday School.

There are no immediate survivors. She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers.
