October 3, 1947 ~ January 27, 2017 (age 69)

Patty’s funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 2nd at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1115 S. 8th Ave. E. in Newton.

The family will greet friends from 10-10:25 a.m., Thursday, February 2nd at the church.

Burial will be at the Newton Union Cemetery in Newton.

Memorials to Progress Industries or to the Jasper County Animal Rescue League and Humane Society may be left at the church on the morning of the service or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home, please add, Attn: Tratchel Family on the envelope.

Patricia “Patty” Anne Tratchel, the daughter of Donald Vernon and Anne Eileen (Kelly) Tratchel was born on October 3, 1947 in Newton, Iowa.

Patty enjoyed animals, crafts, drawing, reading and Disney movies.

Patty died on Friday, January 27, 2017, at Accura Healthcare of Newton East in Newton, she was 69. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to cherish Patty’s memory are her sister, Donna DeLong of Newton; nieces and nephews, Kelly (Doug) Sorenson of Newton, Tess (Mitch) Stein of Gahanna, Ohio, and Ben (Courtney) DeLong of West Des Moines; her great-nieces and nephews, Sebastian and Ryanne Sorenson, Sally and Rose Stein and Emersen DeLong and many healthcare workers. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 27 Jan 2017.
