OBITUARY
Pearl Leroy Curtis was born February 3, 1926 in Indianola, Iowa the son of Howard and Amy (Breckenridge) Curtis. He departed this life on October 7, 2016 at Mercy Johnston Hospice at the age of 90.

Pearl was united in marriage to Ann Nancy Guizzetti in Hastings Neb. 1960. They celebrated 51 years together at their home in Newton, Ia. A son David Curtis joined the family 1961. David helped care for both of them for many years.

Pearl was involved with the Masons for 50 years. In his younger years he had an Indian motorcycle and loved dancing the Jitterbug. He won a contest on the Mary Jane Chin show in '58 or '59. He took the family on camping trips in a trailer camper. He enjoyed camping as long as they could.

He made butter during the war for the government at 16 years of age. Then he worked for Ford Plant working on Tractors. He was disabled from an injury in his late 20's. He did odd jobs through the years buying & selling.

He leaves to celebrate his life his son David Curtis of Newton, brother Dean (LaDonna) Curtis of Des Moines and many nieces & nephews.

Pearl was preceded in death by his wife Ann who died in 2011, his parents Howard & Amy Curtis, his in-laws Massimo & Marie Guizzetti, sisters Mary Belle Martin, Lela Hircock, Louise Renes, Lillie McNeely and some nieces and nephews.
