Obituary - Mrs. F. W. Lippincott

Christine Crawford was born in DuQuion, Illinois, August 25, 1870, where she resided with her parents until she was thirteen years of age, when she came with her parents to Iowa.

When seventeen years of age she commenced teaching school and continued in school work for twenty-two years. On August 18, 1909, she was united in marriage to F. W. Lippincott. To this union was born one son, Crawford C. Lippincott.

She departed this life March 30, 1922 aged 51 years, 6 months and 30 days.

Mrs. Lippincott was of a cheerful disposition and during all the years of her sickness this trait predominated. Her religion was a faithful trust in God and her creed was to applaud that which was right and to condemn that which was wrong. She was uncompromising in her convictions as to right and wrong. Thus with her faith anchored as it was, she has gone to her future home, not afraid to meet her maker.

Funeral services were conducted from the Crawford home on Sunday afternoon, April 2, at 2:30 with Rev. E.G. Williams of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. The local order of the Eastern Star, of which Mrs. Lippincott was member, also conducted their funeral service. Interment was made in Oak Hill Cemetery.
