Laura Bullington Dies at Davenport; Services Monday
Mrs. John (Laura) Bullington, 82, of 718 W. Third St. S., a life-long resident of Jasper County, died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday at the Mercy Hospital in Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Toland Funeral Home.
The Rev. Ray Barnett, minister of the First Christian Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery.
Mrs. Bullington will lie in state at the Toland Funeral Home where friends may call after 1 p.m. Saturday.
The family will be at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday to meet friends.
Survivors are a son, Dr. W. Chase Bullington of Davenport; a daughter, Mrs. Alvia (Evelyn) Escherich of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren and a brother, Emmet P. Woollard of Newton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1959, four brothers and a sister.
Mrs. Bullington was a member of the First Christian Church.
The daughter of Frank and Rebecca Richards Woollard, she was born Jan. 12, 1884 in Jasper County.
She was married to John L. Bullington Aug. 29, 1905 in Jasper County.
Mrs. Bullington was a resident of Newton since 1909.

Laura Bullington Rites Conducted
Funeral services for Mrs. John (Laura) Bullington, 82, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, were held this afternoon at the Toland Funeral Home.
The Rev. Ray Barnett, minister of the First Christian Church, conducted the services. Burial was in Newton Union Cemetery.
Mrs. Paul Murdy was the organist.
Pallbearers were E. H. Jennings, Ivan Dimon, L. J. Janeway, R. Harp Smith, Hubert Pennell and Earl Parks.
Mrs. Ivan Dimon and Mrs. E. H. Jennings were in charge of flowers.
Mrs. Bullington died Thursday at the Mercy Hospital in Davenport.
