M. Everett Weeks, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Weeks, died yesterday at 12:30 p.m. after an illness of nearly two weeks, with peritonitis.

Everett was born January 5th, 1890 near Kasson, Madison County, Iowa, and was just fifteen years and twenty-eight days old at the time of his death. Since ten years of age he has been a member of the Christian Church. He was in the ninth grade of our public school, and was proud of the fact, that another year, as he hoped, would find him in the high school. All who knew him admired and loved him, and he will be sadly missed by his father and mother, brother and sisters who loved him so dearly.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 3:00 o’clock at the Christian Church. Rev. E. F. Leake will have charge of the service. The pallbearers will be Ray Trafton, Fred Crawford, James McCullough, Elmer Little, Clyde Woody and George Ogg. ~ The Newton Daily News, Monday, February 13, 1905, Page 1, Column 4
