Services Held October 19 for Mary A. Price

Mrs. Daniel (Mary Ann) Price, 95, a longtime resident of Colfax, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the Des Moines General Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

The Rev. Harold Den Hartog, pastor of the Metz Community Church, conducted services. Burial was in the Colfax Cemetery.

Organist was Mrs. Frank B. Evans, and soloist was Walter Williams.

Casket bearers were Raymond DeBruyn, George Brown, Jr., David Brown, Philip Brown, Robert Hitchler, and Dale Clark.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Donal (Margaret) Robins of Grand River, Mrs. Frank (Lilian) woods of Baytown, Texas, and Mrs. George (Avis) Brown of Newton; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Naisbitt of Prairie City; and a sister, Elizabeth Hitchler of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, a grandson, three brothers, and two sisters.

Mrs. Price was a charter member of the Sunshine Sewing Club, which started in the 1920's and a member of the Rebekah Lodge.

The daughter of Joseph and Maria Clark Naisbitt, she was born Dec. 16, 1888 in Des Moines.

She was married to Daniel Price Sept 6, 1910 in Colfax. ~ The Jasper County Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thur 25 Oc 1984.
