Death of a Little Child
This morning about seven o’clock, Thelma, the little three year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pugh, died at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Turner, 422 North Race street.
Mrs. Pugh and her three children arrived here several weeks ago to visit her parents. Before they left their home in Colorado the child was exposed to the whooping cough. Soon after they arrived here she began coughing and it ended with bronchial pneumonia. She seemed to be getting along very well until yesterday afternoon when she was taken with convulsions and died this morning.
The arrangements for the funeral have not been made for they are waiting to hear from the father who is in Colorado.
Thelma was a beautiful, sweet child and her sudden death is a great sorrow to the mother, the two brothers, Carl and Clyde, and other relatives, and it will be especially hard blow for the father to bear for he was very fond of his only daughter.

Burial at Grinnell
This morning the body of Thelma Pugh, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pugh, was taken to Grinnell for burial. The funeral was held in that city this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Besides the parents and little brothers, Carl and Clyde, Mrs. J. K. Turner, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Turner, Wesley and Allie Turner and a brother of Mr. Pugh, accompanied the remains.
Thelma Josephine Pugh was born in Grinnell, Iowa, Sept. 20, 1905 and died at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Turner, in this city October 23, 1908 after a brief illness. Altho but three years old she had endeared herself not only to her immediate relatives but to all who knew her.
