Leslie Shadley Rites Monday
COLFAX – Funeral services for Leslie C. Shadley, 48, of 230 ½ 6th Ave., Venice, Calif., a former Colfax resident, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Robert Jones, pastor of the Colfax Christian Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Colfax Cemetery.
Survivors are three brothers, Loial of Orlando, Fla., Robert of Colfax and Leroy of Newton; two sisters, Mrs. Howard (Lucille) Gaskill of Mitchellville and Mrs. Walter Dale (Dara Lee) Price of Texas City, Tex.; his mother, Mrs. Earl Shadley of Colfax; and a sister-in-law, Jean Shadley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Shadley, three brothers, Rex, Alvin and Willard, and his sister, Clarice Shadley.
Mr. Shadley was a member of the Christian Church.
A former Monroe Co. employee, he served in the Navy from 1943 to 1946.
The son of Earl and Florence Collister Shadley, he was born Feb. 24, 1926 at Newton and was a 1947 graduate of Colfax Community High School.
He died recently at Venice.
