PRAIRIE CITY - Funeral services for Alice Marie Dupuy, 86, a resident of Prairie City for 30 years, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Prairie City United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Al Kinrade, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Glendon Cemetery near Stuart.

Friends may call at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City after noon today and family visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials to Camp Sunnyside near Des Moines may be left at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dupuy died Wednesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.

Survivors are three sons, Charles and Harry, both of Prairie City, and Marion of Des Moines; four sisters, Goldie Booth of Prairie City, Elsie Myers of Colorado Springs, Colo., Edith Anderson of Fort Dodge and Lois Stilwell of Des Moines; 24 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother Glen James of Silvis, Ill., and sister, Gladys Roberts of Willow Springs, Mo.

Mrs. Dupuy, who had resided in Des Moines for the past four years, was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Henry, a son, a grandchild, four great-Grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters.

She was a member of the Prairie City United Methodist Church and F and F Club.

The daughter of Charles Herman and Sadie Bell Gustin James, she was born Aug. 16, 1905 at Guthrie Center.

She was married to James Henry Dupuy Sept. 27, 1925 in Windom, Minn. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Fri 11 Oct 1991.
