Services Held
Ruby Margaret Robison Wright, 78, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, died Sunday, June 13, 1993 in Newton.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe.
The Rev. Frederick Kramer, Skiff Medical Center chaplain, conducted the services.
Burial was in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Memorials to Hospice of Jasper County will be accepted.
Survivors are a son, Larry De Moss of Altoona, two daughters, Delores Deitrick and Judy (Mrs. Elmer) Modlin, both of Newton, five grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a sister, Helen Powell of Pleasantville.
Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Ronald, and a brother, Bob Robison.
Mrs. Wright was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 997, Retirees Union.
She worked at the Maytag Co. for 30 years before her retirement in 1975.
She also taught rural schools.
The daughter of Bert and Ethel Gay Roberts Robison, she was born August 14, 1914 in rural Monroe.
