Life Story of Dale B. Wright
Dale B. Wright, 54, of Dexter, a former resident of Newton, died November 30 at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines.
Survivors are his wife, Freda; four sons, Warren, Ronald and Steven of Dexter, and Dennis of Reseda, Calif.; a grandson, and a brother, Milton C. Wright of Des Moines.
Mr. Wright was a member of the Lyons Butler Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Indianola, the Teamsters Local 147, and attended the Redeemer Lutheran Church at Indianola.
He served in the Army during World War II.
He was employed as a dock worker for Rock Island Motor Freight in Des Moines for 18 years until his retirement in June.
The son of Clyde J. and Susan Wright, he was born January 1, 1917, on a farm near Monroe, attended Jasper County schools and was graduated form Newton Community High School.
Mr. Wright, who had resided in Dexter for five months, resided in Jasper County until going to Indianola 12 years ago.
