Life Story of Harold Wagner
Harold Lee Wagner, son of Ernest and Mazie Wagner, was born near Monroe, Iowa on January 9, 1934 and departed this life on December 15, 1954 at the age of 20 years, 11 months and 9 days.
His entire life was spent at the farm home where he was born. He received his elementary education in the country school near his home and graduated from Monroe High School with the class of 1952.
In addition to his regularly required academic work he was a trackman and a member of the high school band.
He was a member of the Monroe Methodist Church and Sunday School and participated in the activities of the Methodist Youth Fellowship.
This loveable, active young man had a wide variety of interests and will be sorely missed not only in his home but by the entire community.
From his earlier interests in 4-H and Future Farmers of America he has gone on to share in the work of the Rural Youth Program and was a member of the Hampshire Breeders Association.
On January 12 he would have entered the service of his country. Instead he as answered a higher call.
He leaves his parents, a sister Dorothy, his fiancée, Betty Kennedy, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Wagner and a host of relatives and friends.
