Funeral services for Mrs. Cornelia Ver Meer of Pella were held August 5, 1985 at the Third Reformed Church in Pella. Rev. Dirk J. Kolenbrander officiated. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.
Cornelia, a daughter of John H. and Mary Van Haaften Vroom, was born on Sept. 20, 1899 in Mahaska County near Pella. On January 17, 1924 she was united in marriage with Morris Henry Ver Meer at Pella and to this union one son was born, Marvin Carl.
Surviving are her husband, son Marvin and three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Of her original family she leaves two sisters: Josie, Mrs. A. E. Van Zee of Pella and Louise, Mrs. Bert Spoelstra of Monroe. Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, four sisters and two who died in infancy.
