Monroe Woman Passes Away
Mrs. Jane Sheeler, 79, passed away Thursday evening at 10:30 at the home of her daughter Mrs. Jesse Mullins, east of Monroe. Although in ill health for the past two months, she suffered the fatal attack and passed away within a half hour.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:30 from the Methodist Church with the Rev. Pritchard in charge. Burial was in the Monroe Cemetery.
Thirza Jane Sheeler
Daughter of Scott and Mary Kindred was born in Bedford, Indiana, February 1, 1857 and departed this life at the home of her daughter Mabel Mullins, east of Monroe, October 22, 1936, being at the time of her death, 79 years, 8 months and 21 days.
She was united in marriage to John Shuler (sic), October 10, 1874 in Newton and to this union was born 4 children. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Monroe. She expressed many times before her death her love and strong belief in her Lord and Master, and lived ready to go when the call came.
She leaves to mourn her going her 4 children, Willis of Knoxville, Mabel Mullins of Monroe, Minnie Woody and Maude Herwehe of Newton and 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandsons, the pride and joy of her life and two brothers, Homer Kindred of Des Moines and Elza Kindred of Granger.
