Aug. 11, 2016Robert M. McDaniel, 68 of Van, Texas, died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016. A private family service will be held.
Robert, the son of Floyd Marion and Donna “Darlene” (Rebertus) McDaniel, was born Oct. 15, 1947, in Newton and graduated from Newton Senior High in 1965.
Those left to honor Robert’s memory are sons, Matthew (Sean Martin) McDaniel of Omaha, Neb., and John (Jodie) McDaniel of Minburn; a daughter, Amanda (Jason) Ellingson of Ames; a sister, Deborah Simmons of Toledo; six grandchildren; a nephew, Michael Anderson of Grinnell; and aunts, uncle and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a son; his wife Betty; his parents; and grandparents. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa 17 Aug 2016.
