Marjorie Tabor Sheeler Raaberg, age 95 formerly of Monroe, died Friday, January 19, 2007, in California. Funeral services for Mrs. Sheeler Raaberg will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Monroe United Methodist Church, with burial following at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. Memorials may be given to the Marjorie Sheeler Raaberg Memorial Fund and Online condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.
The daughter of Samuel Berry and Pearl M. (Curry) Tabor, Marjorie was born on January 19, 1912 in Jasper County, Iowa. Marjorie was a graduate of Drake University. After graduating, Marjorie served as an elementary teacher in both Iowa and California. Marjorie was most recently a resident of La Mesa, California.
Those left to honor her memory and her children Joyce Hekel of San Diego, CA, and James (Linda) Sheeler of El Cajon, CA. Those also left to honor her memory are her brother Wayne Tabor of Louisville, Ky, five grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
