Services for Wanda Ore were held Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe.
Wanda Christy Thomas Ore, age 44 of West Des Moines, died Friday, July 20, 2007, at her home.
Memorials may be given to the Wanda Ore Memorial fund and online condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.
The daughter of Wilbur and Betty (Hanawalt) Christy, Wanda was born on August 10, 1962, in Des Moines. Wanda attended school in West Des Moines. Wanda always put everyone before herself and will be remembered for having a heart of gold. Friends and family will fondly remember her great sense of humor and her love for her children and grandchildren. Wanda spent most of her life as a resident of Des Moines, but also spent time as a resident of both Monroe and Mitchellville.
Survivors are her husband James Ore of Virginia; mother, Betty Christy of Monroe; sons Daniel Thomas of Iowa City, and Terry Thomas of Des Moines; son-in-law Aaron Richardson of Des Moines; grandchildren Kymberleigh Richardson and Amadeus Richardson. Those also left to honor her memory are her sister Colleen Kendall and her husband Jerry of Newton, brother John Christy of Monroe, and brother Jodie Christy of Newton.
Wanda was preceded in death by her father, daughter Mindy Richardson, and son Paul Thomas.
