McReynolds Services were Conducted Fri.
F. E. McReynolds passed Away Monday After 2 years’ Illness
Funeral services for Francis E. McReynolds, 74, were conducted from the home in Monroe Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock with Rev. Neil Stewart, pastor of the Presbyterian church in charge.
Music for the services was furnished by Mrs. W. B. Shaw, contralto soloist, who used “The City Four Square” and “Rock of Ages.” Rev. Stewart took his text from the third chapter of Lamentations.
Pallbearers were brothers-in-law of the deceased, including George and Bert Van Ness of Monroe, Vern of Newton and Elvin of Sully; John Wert of Ft. Des Moines and Henry Mommer of Waterloo.
Mr. McReynolds died Monday afternoon following two years of ill health, culminated by a complication of ailments. Burial was made in the Monroe cemetery.
Relatives and friends attending the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Roy McReynolds of Cambridge, Ohio; Lieut. Ray McReynolds who came by plane from Montgomery, Ala., Mr. and Mrs. John Wert of Ft. Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mommer and Charlene from Waterloo; Miss Alice Carey of Des Moines; relatives from Sully, Reasnor, Galesburg, Newton and Fairmount.
