Services Held
Funeral services for Coral Lee Marshall were held on Wednesday, January 29, 2003, at the Walters Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe. Chaplain Merle Smith will officiate the services. Burial will be in Dunreath Cemetery in rural Monroe.
Coral Lee Marshall, age 65, of Monroe, died Sunday, January 26, 2003 at Pella Regional Health Center in Pella. Memorials may be donated to Hospice of Pella or the Pella Regional Health Center.
Coral Lee was born on June 4, 1937 in Marion County, Iowa the daughter of Earl and Bessie (Wagner) Simbro. She attended schools in Monroe and was a lifelong resident of Monroe. On June 5, 1954 she was united in marriage to Eldon Marshall. Coral Lee was a farm wife who enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, sewing, quilting and spoiling her grandchildren.
Coral lee is survived by her husband, Eldon of Monroe; five children, Valerie Beerends and her husband Dale, George Marshall and his wife Nanette, Lynn Slykhuis and her husband Mike, Virginia Marshall all of Monroe and Lee Anne DeVries and her husband John of Prairie City. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; a brother Clifford Simbro and his wife Patricia Marshall of Newton; a sister in law, Mary Simbro of Reasnor, along with several special nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bernard Simbro.
