Passes Away
Norma Fern Lust, 79, of Newton, died of respiratory failure February 9, 2000, at Park Centre Nursing Home in Newton.
The body will be cremated. Burial of the cremains will be held at Hewitt Cemetery near Reasnor at a later date.
The daughter of Alfred and Martha Earp Lust, Norma was born February 5, 1921, in Reasnor. She graduated from Monroe High School.
A lifelong resident of Jasper County and longtime resident of Newton, Ms. Lust was employed as a secretary by the United Telephone Company in Newton for 25 years before retiring in 1982. She was a former member of the Toast Mistress Club and Ikettes.
Survivors include a cousin and his wife, Carl and Janet Lust of Reasnor; two sisters, Edith Munger and Mildred Lust, both of Newton; and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a niece and a nephew in infancy.
