Reasnor, IA – Mary Beth Lust, 35, of rural Reasnor, died from injuries she received in a car accident Saturday three miles south of Newton. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Community Heights Alliance Church in Newton, with burial in Hewitt Cemetery in Reasnor.
Mrs. Lust was born in Oskaloosa and lived in Jasper and Marion counties all of her life. She was an employee at the Bankers Life Co. in Des Moines and the Maytag Co. in Newton. She was a member of the Community Heights Alliance Church and a substitute Sunday School teacher at the church.
Survivors include her husband, Carl; a son, Adam, who was injured in the accident and was being treated at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines; a daughter, Julie at home; her parents, Marion and Mary Heemstra of rural Otley; a grandmother, Gertrude Van Houweling of Pella; two sisters, Marla Slycord of Pella and Marilee Nikkel of Monroe.
The family will receive friends between 7 and 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Wallace Funeral Home in Newton.
