Life Story of Lawrence F. Lust
Funeral services for Lawrence F. Lust, 73, of Phoenix, Ariz., were held Saturday, April 3, in the Mercer Mortuary, Phoenix, Ariz. with Dr. Samuel Caruth, minister of Central United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Lawrence Lust was born November 19, 1897, near Monroe, the son of George W. and Nan Rexroat Lust. He was a graduate of Capital City Commercial College in Des Moines and for several years worked as an accountant in Chicago.
He was married to the former Dorothy Dunn in 1938 and engaged in farming in Jasper County until coming to reside in Arizona in 1948.
He was auditor for various motels before retiring due to ill health. He was an active member of Central United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife; four sisters, Mrs. Vida Van Baren of Salinas, Calif., Mrs. Letty Moore of Springfield, Mo., Miss Mabel Lust and Mrs. Opal Nollen, both of Pella; and one brother, Leland Lust of Fairborn, Ohio.
Preceding him in death were a sister, Blanche, and two infant brothers.
