Life Story of William Lewis
Funeral services for William G. Lewis, 71, of Monroe, a lifelong resident of the Monroe Community, were held Monday at the United Methodist Church in Monroe.
The Rev. Jerry Wolcott, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in the Silent City cemetery in Monroe.
He died Friday at his home in Monroe.
Survivors are his wife, Thelma; a son, Rodger, of Monroe; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Mr. Lewis was a member of the United Methodist Church in Monroe.
The son of Deal and Catherine Livingston Lewis, he was born in May 1905, in Monroe and attended Monroe Community High School.
He was married to Thelma Jarnagin March 11, 1926 in Monroe.
