CORT OLDHAM DIES IN CALIFORNIA
Word was received Monday by relatives in Monroe of the sudden death of Cort Oldham. Cort lived his boyhood days in Monroe and community. He left high school to enter the service of World War I. After leaving the service he returned to California where he has since made his home.
He with his wife and son Burton visited in Monroe just a year ago.
Funeral services were held Thursday with burial in the Golden Gate National cemetery.Clipping from unknown newspaper found in scrapbook created by Jennie Bell Howell North. Clipping has handwriting stating “July 1947”. Transcribed by Connie Breckenridge.
