Services Held
Ernest “Daye” Kingery, 82, of Monroe, died Sunday, March 10, 1996, at the Altoona Manor.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Monroe United Methodist Church with the Rev. Karen Merrill officiating. Burial was in the Dunreath Cemetery in Monroe.
He farmed in the Monroe area and retired from Maytag in 1957.
Mr. Kingery is survived by his wife, Marian, three sons and daughter-in-laws, Ronald and Karen Kingery and Frank and Vicki Kingery of Monroe and Dennis Kingery of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Orville Karr of Monroe; one sister, Vera Hopkins of Knoxville; 11 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Kingery was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Priscilla Jane Clark Kingery; two sisters, Blanche and Cecile; and five brothers, Nate, Fred, Jim, John and Ora.
