William Kinart Dies Wednesday
William A. Kinart, Sr., 82, of Newton, a resident of Jasper county for more than 70 years, died at 8:55 a.m. Wednesday at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed pending word from members of the immediate family.
Mr. Kinart is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, Ivan K. Kinart of St. Helens, Ore., and William A. Kinart, Jr. of Newton; three daughters, Lois K. Hoffmaster of Santa Ana, Calif., Mrs. Floyd (Marie) Sparks of Newton and Mrs. Virgil (Edith) Reynolds of Newton; 14 grandchildren; a brother, John Kinart of Monroe; and a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Tool of Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Kinart was a member of the Methodist church.
Mr. Kinart, a native of Marion county, farmed near Monroe until 1919 when he moved to Newton. He was a gardener at the Maytag house for 15 years and during World War II was an employee of the Parsons Co.
The son of Samuel and Sarah Catherine Kinart, he was born October 10, 1877 in Marion county.
Mr. Kinart was married to Mary I. Curry December 19, 1900.
