Sully – Peter Van Manen, 88, of Sully died of a heart ailment Saturday at Pella Regional Health Center in Pella. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Reformed Church in Sully, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Sully Cemetery.
Mr. Van Manen was born near Kellogg and had lived in the Kellogg and Sully areas all his life. He was a farmer and a member of Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie; a daughter, Joan Eysink of Sully; a son, Norman of Medford Ore.; two sisters, Gertie Verwers of Newton and Nellie Van Wyk of Pella; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Monday at Sully Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Sully, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International.
