Keith A. Westercamp, 83, of Kellogg, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at the Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9 at the Wallace Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 1115 E. 19th St. N. in Newton. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8 at the funeral home.

A private family burial will be at Our Silent City Cemetery in Kellogg at a later date. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa 5 Jan 2016.

Those left to honor Keith’s memory are his daughter’s Pamela (Terry) Hinshaw of Kellogg and Sonja (Christopher) Messick of Newton; four grandchildren, Melanie (Tim) Sweeney of Patchogue, New York, Justin (Veronica) Brown of Kellogg, Danielle Messick of Newton and Alice Hinshaw of Ithaca, New York; five great-grandchildren, Justin, Jaelin, Jeremy, Bryce and Quentin; his siblings, Kenneth Westercamp of Frankenmuth, Michigan, Joy Anderson of Newton, Kathleen Oliver of Ankeny, Robert, Tim and Jeff Westercamp of Cedar Rapids, Dixie Peterson of Newton and Pat Westercamp of Mt. Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Judy; and twin sons in infancy.

Keith attended country schools in Jasper Co. and high school in Grinnell and Kellogg.

Raised on a farm near Rock Creek, Keith farmed before the family started Westercamp Stockyards in Kellogg. He drove truck, bought and sold hogs and transported hogs to packing plants throughout the Midwest for many years. Keith and Judy were owner operators and over-the-road truck drivers for TMC and Wenger and Williams Pipeline. He drove for Sully Transport and Birkenholz trucking before he retired in 2000.

Keith enjoyed reading and collecting recorded music. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a loyal friend who faithfully visited nursing homes and the Iowa Veteran’s Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials in Keith’s name and they may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home, please put Attn: Westercamp Family on the envelope. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa Sun 3 Jan 2016.
