Larry Gene Streeter, 56, died suddenly September 20, 2006 at his home in Runnells. Larry was born April 8, 1950 to Thurman and Gladoline Streeter in Grinnell, Iowa.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Bondurant Christian Church. Visitation will be Friday, September 22, 2006 at Altoona Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Larry had worked for Jasper and Henry Counties as a police officer before serving 28 years with Altoona Policy department, retiring as a police Captain. He most recently worked as a security officer for Iowa Health Systems. Helping people was his life.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn (Miller) Streeter, his children, Amie (Streeter) Stageman, Nick Streeter, his grandson, Drake Stageman. He also leaves two brothers, Ron and Don Streeter and two sisters, Shirley Barr and Judy Asheford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Delores Jay and Carolyn Mathre and a brother, Gary Streeter.
